Celebrate the Joys of Reading Aloud
Come to the 11th annual National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are honorary chairs for the event. The festival is free and open to the public.
Saturday, Sept. 24: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 25: 1 to 5:30 p.m.
Now Two Days: September 24-25
New for 2011: An additional day of authors, poets & illustrators, plus three new genre pavilions (State Poets Laureate, The Cutting Edge & Graphic Novels) and performances for all ages at the Family Storytelling Stage. Also, special bookend events leading up to the festival. Come and celebrate the joys of reading aloud!
