The John W. Kluge Center brings together scholars and researchers from around the world to stimulate and energize one another, to distill wisdom from the Library's rich resources, and to interact with policymakers and the public.
The Kluge Prize
The Kluge Prize for Achievement in the Study of Humanity recognizes individuals whose outstanding scholarship in the humanities and social sciences has shaped both public affairs and civil society. The Prize is ordinarily a $1 million award.

The Kluge Center invites and welcomes more than 100 top scholars per year into periods of residence at the Library of Congress to conduct wide-ranging scholarship and to interact with political Washington. Opportunities include:

A Celebration of 15 Years

The Daniel K. Inouye Distinguished Lecture Series
The John W. Kluge Center and Daniel K. Inouye Institute launched a five-year lecture series in 2015 on themes that reflect Sen. Inouye’s legacy of public service and civic engagement. The inaugural event, "Finding Shared Values for U.S. Foreign Policy," featured Madeleine Albright and Colin Powell. Watch
