Speaker Biography: Frederik Pohl has written 20 novels, edited science fiction magazines and anthologies and collaborated on other science fiction works. He was named Grand Master by the Science Fiction Writers of America and he was a recipient of the Hugo, Nebula and John W. Campbell awards for his novel Gateway (1977), which has been continuously in print since it was published. Now, more than 25 years later, his latest novel, "The Boy Who Would Live Forever," is set in the Gateway universe. Pohl lives in Palatine, Ill.
